Rewinding 12 weeks into the past

It's been about seven months since I last posted a blog.
The previous post has been sitting in my drafts for at least three months. I'm not entirely sure why I waited so long to publish it to the public. There probably is no reason.
Anyway, I'm catching up now.

FAUX PAS

I took an unplanned trip to look at fabrics and the moment I touched this faux-leather material, my brain spun off into the many different possibilities I could explore. Making an oversized clutch was absolutely a must.

ROCKETS&WATERFALLS

After enjoying some hot Vietnamese Pho in 82 degree Los Angeles weather, I quickly made a turn into alleyway to escape an older gentleman who had creepily followed my friend and I around the parking lot. While behind us, he called out and asked if we knew that there used to be a Baskin-Robins in this location. He had a sinister look in his eyes and I got into my car and drove in the opposite direction of where I intended to go, fearing he'd follow me. Thus, stumbling upon in the alleyway I had previously mentioned.
Sure, I may have over reacted. But I wasn't going to stay and find out. I don't trust anyone..
I saw this beautiful painting on the wall and was amazed at the vision and imagination the artist had. I wished I knew who they were. I'm enthralled by outer space and, in a way, thank the weird man for my random happening upon this wall.

THREE STRIPES
boys boxers >
I find it unfair that men's underwear is exceedingly more comfortable than women's. Don't get me wrong - I'm a sucker for how cute and sexy women's underwear is, (proving this, I just splurged on a shit ton of new underwear. All black or white and lace-y of course.) but sometimes comfy boxer/boxer briefs are necessary.
Steal them from your man ;) Maybe even trade.

FUN WITH JOHN GARDUNO

Had some fun shooting with my friend, John Garduno, one night.

LAST DAYS BEING 22 & I DECIDED I DON'T NEED SHIRTS ANYMORE
My ass was exceedingly wet and itchy after these pictures were taken. Oh, the dedication to please the masses :p All because I try not to make all my selfies look the same.
The reason I'm not wearing a shirt? None. I liked it like that.
Maybe I was feeling all risqué because I was turning twenty-three in a few days.

Time on my hands

I realized something today.

I took a moment to stop and think about my life.
Where am I at as a 22 year-old fashion-loving, newly ambitious, social-media-obsessed woman living in suburbia?
Where am I trying to go?
What am I trying to do?
How am I going to get there?
What are the steps I should take to achieve the goals I've set for myself?

I took all these questions and interrogated myself to the point where I came to this revelation: I'm happy
At this point in my life, I left all the negativity I had suppressed inside me back in the month of May and focused on doing things that made me happy.
I LOVE EVERYTHING HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.

The future is bright, y'all!

I'm not going to lie - I did type out an entire heart-felt paragraph about how I appreciate every little thing I have. I'm extremely aware that I'm lucky and privileged. But I would never take anything for granted.
I opened up my mind to this blog post and released every ounce of gratitude I had from the bottom of my heart and sincerely said Thank You. When I finished, it became apparent to me that all those words weren't for you, reader. They were for me. To whoever's reading this: You're not here for my thoughts and opinions, are you? You're just interested clothes and outfits, right? I get it. I can give you what you're looking for. That is why I deleted all of my rambling nonsense and replaced it with "The future is bright, y'all!" It is! I know how I feel and I know what I said and that's all that matters to me :)

NEONS

I've seen this photo of mine posted on a couple random Instagrams that don't belong to me and even on Tumblr! It's kind of odd. I understand that it is a compliment and the reason why I started doing fashion blogging is to inspire and perhaps spark outfit ideas within some individuals, so I have no problem with the spreading of my photos across the internet world. My only request is that I be informed? I feel that isn't too much to ask. I get this awkward feeling when I see myself posted somewhere without my knowledge. I feel I've been plagiarized! haha I now understand why they drilled the importance of citing and the works cited page in college.

The awkward moment when your 6-year-old niece, Zoey, tells you that your poses are not up to par and schools you in selfies:

Notice the intensity in her eyes? She's obviously a natural.
This little girl is going to grow up show you all how it's done.

After spending the day with the kids who's energy never seems to decease, it was time for a little cousin bonding. Naturally, alcohol was involved.
My expression when I find that my drink is empty :(
Sadly, I did not get to photograph my other beautiful niece, Peyton. But this little girl would melt my heart with phrases such as, "Auntie Gracie, I want you to stay here with us even until we're old." and random outbursts of saying "I love you" while looking up at me with a twinkle in her innocent eyes. <3
I had an amazing time in San Francisco, but my heart belongs in LA.
I missed the sun, the beach, even the smog!
So I bid my cousins and nieces adieu and thanked them for a memorable weekend.
