Rewinding 12 weeks into the past

It's been about seven months since I last posted a blog.
The previous post has been sitting in my drafts for at least three months. I'm not entirely sure why I waited so long to publish it to the public. There probably is no reason.
Anyway, I'm catching up now.

FAUX PAS

I took an unplanned trip to look at fabrics and the moment I touched this faux-leather material, my brain spun off into the many different possibilities I could explore. Making an oversized clutch was absolutely a must.

ROCKETS&WATERFALLS

After enjoying some hot Vietnamese Pho in 82 degree Los Angeles weather, I quickly made a turn into alleyway to escape an older gentleman who had creepily followed my friend and I around the parking lot. While behind us, he called out and asked if we knew that there used to be a Baskin-Robins in this location. He had a sinister look in his eyes and I got into my car and drove in the opposite direction of where I intended to go, fearing he'd follow me. Thus, stumbling upon in the alleyway I had previously mentioned.
Sure, I may have over reacted. But I wasn't going to stay and find out. I don't trust anyone..
I saw this beautiful painting on the wall and was amazed at the vision and imagination the artist had. I wished I knew who they were. I'm enthralled by outer space and, in a way, thank the weird man for my random happening upon this wall.

THREE STRIPES
boys boxers >
I find it unfair that men's underwear is exceedingly more comfortable than women's. Don't get me wrong - I'm a sucker for how cute and sexy women's underwear is, (proving this, I just splurged on a shit ton of new underwear. All black or white and lace-y of course.) but sometimes comfy boxer/boxer briefs are necessary.
Steal them from your man ;) Maybe even trade.

LAST DAYS BEING 22 & I DECIDED I DON'T NEED SHIRTS ANYMORE
My ass was exceedingly wet and itchy after these pictures were taken. Oh, the dedication to please the masses :p All because I try not to make all my selfies look the same.
The reason I'm not wearing a shirt? None. I liked it like that.
Maybe I was feeling all risqué because I was turning twenty-three in a few days.

The Eighth Month No Longer Holds Meaning

Since I was five years old, the approaching of August meant it was time to kiss summer freedom goodbye because the majority of my days would be spent doodling on some college ruled notebook paper and staring at ceilings as I wait for what felt like eternity to be released from class.
I've never been the type of person to enjoy school.
I was never excited to go to class. Actually, I came extremely close to not graduating with my high school class in 2009. College was not too different for me. I still hated the education system and I found University learning mind-numbingly redundant. I was the student who did the absolute bare minimum. If we were assigned a six to eight page minimum essay, you can bet I wrote six whole pages and maybe three or four words would spill onto the seventh page just in case. You already know I also fucked with the margins to make my essay seem a little longer. Despite this, I still earned B's on average. My motivation was the thousands of dollars that went into this education of mine and I conquered the college life in four years.

Now I'm sitting here in the middle of the month I used to dread and for the first time, it means nothing. I do not have piles of syllabuses that say the same thing over and over. I do not have over-priced, heavy text books that I will barely open because I Google everything. And sadly, I do not have an array of new colorful pens that I tell myself I'll use to color-coordinate my notes to "study" from, knowing these intentions will only last about two days.
For the rest of my life, August is just August.
Summer ending is just the Earth tilting a different way.
School is just some place I used to go to.

Is this the beginning of something? Or the end?

From Kindergarden to 5th grade, I attended a private Catholic school where we wore uniforms. Ever since this privilege was taken away from me, I've wanted nothing more than to return to a school where uniforms were mandatory.
Is this odd to say as a fashion blogger? You'd think I despise uniforms and the homogeneity of the system especially since it promotes the lack of expressing originality? Well, YOU'RE WRONG. I LOVE UNIFORMS.
Without uniforms, I was able to be ready for school much more efficiently without the added stress of "What do I wear today?!?!" That instantly cut off about thirty minutes of time I could have spent sleeping.

Growing up is a trip, no?

BABYFACE DELEMA

My old stomping ground.
Saugus High School.
I accompanied my sibling in registering for her senior year earlier this month. Upon arrival, a staff member rudely approached me with a threat stating I was violating dress code and I should not be allowed to take my senior pictures. With my right eye brow slightly raised, I looked into her sunglass-covered eyes and responded, "I took my senior pictures in 2009." She then backed off with no apology.
I understand I don't look 22 years old, but if I was an enrolling senior, that, madam, is NOT the way to confront a future student. Plainly put, you are a bitch and you should not work for an institution that already has a long standing reputation of bullying world wide. Your attitude is disgusting.
BE NICE, ASSHOLE.

I also LIVE in these pants now, by the way.
